Concord Library closed due to bomb threat
A bomb threat at Concord University closed the building and forced the evacuation of several students, faculty, and staff. The Concord Police Department was notified of a bomb threat that was phoned in sometime after 4:00 p.m. on Monday, February 9th. The building was immediately evacuated and the WV State Police was notified. Units from the Athens Fire Department and Princeton Rescue Squad responded to the scene. AVFD members assisted the CU Police with a quasi-barrier and traffic control. The building was cleared by the WV State Police around three hours after the inital call. CU Police are handling the investigation with the assitance of the WV State Police.
