Fallen Firefighter honored once again
Charles "Chuck" Marshall was honored once more at the winter commencement ceremonies for Concord University. Chuck, who passed away after a long courageous battle with cancer, was awarded an honorary bachelor's degree. Chuck spent the better part of his final years pursuing his education degree. He hoped to one day be an elementary school teacher. Chuck's passion for education was evident in the fact that he continued pressing toward his goal of being a teacher despite the many treatment set backs during his battle with cancer. His widow, Brittany Marshall, accepted the degree on his behalf. The firefighters wish to congratulate Chuck on his example of determination in his endeavors.
