The fire department responded to a report of smoke showing from the Taylor Townhouse Apartments on Route 20. http://www.athensfireandrescue.org/NewsStories/March08/springsRd_mva.htm A single vehicle MVC on Springs Road sent two patients to the hospital and closed the road down for over an hour. The land owner was apparently trying to burn brush piles with the blaze got out of control.
