We drive em' hard and put em' up wet. A common line heard around the firehouse. Lt. McKenzie is no different than all the rest when it comes to "seeing what these trucks will do". Well, while enroute to a medical call for a man trapped under a farm tractor, Lt. McKenzie was pushing the rescue truck. After leaving the main road and hitting one of our areas famed "one laners" Lt. McKenzie encountered another vehicle. Rather than be an ass and run the other guy off the road, McKenzie spotted what appeared to be solid ground just off the right side of the road. What appears to be isn't always right. When the trucks tires hit this patch of road, they sunk and dug a nice drainage ditch about 1 1/2 feet deep. Just helpin' with the drainage problem...right?. back to the archives
